It's official the Lake Charles Chuck Fest has been scheduled for October 22, 2022! It's been a long time coming, being the last event was in 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic,  two hurricanes, an ice storm, and a flood kept us busy, but it wasn't near as fun. Thank goodness, things are looking up and the city's annual fall music fest is planning a major comeback.

A huge part of Chuck Fest is the vendors and live entertainment. For those of you looking to participate in this year's event, details on merchant and vendor booth space as well as the music line-up will be coming out in the next couple of months. Now is the time to subscribe to the newsletter, so you can get updates on registrations and much more. Go to www.artscouncilswla.org to subscribe to the HeARTbeat Weekly newsletter or follow the Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA on social media.

For the 2022 event, the Chuck Fest Foundation will join forces with the Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA. Just like years past the entire day will be a celebration of Louisiana culture in the heart of Downtown Lake Charles 12-10 PM with plenty of food, music, art, and much more. Devan Corbello, executive director of the Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA said “Lake Charles is ‘Louisiana’s playground’ and we can’t wait to bring back one of the staple events in the area.” Corbello continued, “This festival celebrates everything that makes Louisiana one of the most unique states in the Union, and after a two-year hiatus, this year will be better than ever!”

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
