Get excited Lake Charles as one of our great local businesses has reopened nearly two years after hurricane Laura destroyed it.

The iconic Frosty Factory has reopened its doors almost two years removed from the devastation it suffered from the storms.

We were driving around yesterday when we passed by the venue and saw that people were going inside of the building and that's when we saw the Now Open signs in front of the building.

The Frosty Factory is an iconic daiquiri bar known for delicious drinks and live karaoke. The Frosty factory is located on Common Street in Lake Charles right across the street from the McNeese baseball field.

What you may not know is that where the Frosty Factory sits is not the original location. The Frosty Factory used to be located on Ryan Street and the building that housed the Frosty is where Buffis Peauxboys now sits.

The Frosty Factory is now open and if you have never gotten a daiquiri from there, do yourself a favor and go by this weekend and get yourself one.  My personal favorite is the Amoretta Sting. They are also known for drinks like Monkey Shine, 190 Octane, Strawberry Margaritas and so many more.

The Frosty is a great place to sit down and have a daiquiri, play pool, or sing karaoke. It is also the place McNeese fans like to hang out on football game day. So make sure to make a stop at the Frosty Factory soon and check out the new look.
