A couple of days ago, we announced the Downtown At Sundown concert series was coming back to downtown Lake Charles on Ryan Street in front of Historic City Hall and the Parish Courthouse. Now we have found out the entertainment lineup for this year's events.

New this year is that the concert series will run for two weekends (Friday, May 28 and Friday June 4) instead of four, but when you attend the event, you will get to see and hear two artists each night instead of the usual one. The music starts at 6:00pm and the event will also include local food and beverage vendors.

Set to perform on Friday, May 28 are the McNeese State University Zyde-Pokes and Three Sheets.

On Friday, June 4, get ready for Charlie Wayne and the Charlie Wayne Band followed by Grammy award winner Mickey Smith and Sax in the City.

Matt Young with the city of Lake Charles said,

In keeping with COVID-related safety guidelines, attendance will be limited to 1,000 for each event.

Tickets are free and can be claimed online at www.downtownatsundown.eventbrite.com or in-person at the Transit Center (1155 Ryan Street) on Monday through Friday from 8 to 4:30 p.m. Masks will be required to enter.

If you are wanting to attend either event or both events, get your tickets as soon as possible.
