Keeping our street and highways safe to travel on is the first priority for all of our local law enforcement agencies. So with that being said, the Louisiana State Police will conduct a DWI and seat belt checkpoint this Friday night November 13th somewhere in the parish.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is participating is the ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' campaign which will end on Labor day on Monday, September 7th.
With that being said, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office will be conducting a DWI checkpoint somewhere in the parish this Friday night.

According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kim Myers, CPSO will participate in the national crackdown on drunk driving. A grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission makes it all possible.
