Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun baseball team continues postseason play on Saturday night, when they travel to Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers in the opening game of a best-of-three game NCAA Super Regional series.

The showdown is set! The LSU Tigers and the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette will square of in the NCAA Super Regional for the chance to head to Omaha, Nebraska for the College Baseball World Series.

The LSU Tigers baseball team took care of business in the Baton Rouge regional going 3-0 and beating UNC Wilmington 2-0 yesterday. Now the Tigers advance to the Super Regional and will play Friday.

LSU Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri reached a milestone last night after the LSU Tigers baseball team went into extra innings beating Mississippi State 5-3 in 14 innings. It was big for the Tigers to come back to win the game but it also marked the 400th win for LSU Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri.

The LSU Tigers baseball team are back a top of the major college baseball polls and sit in the number one position. The Tigers who are 34-6 on the season grabbed the number one spot in all the polls after winning all three of their games last week.

The LSU Tigers baseball team are on a roll. They are on a six game winning streak. LSU's winning streak started on March 31st when they beat the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette.

The LSU Tigers baseball team lost two out of three games over the weekend against Kentucky which has caused the Tigers to drop in the national baseball rankings.
