When a three-foot alligator wandered into our parking lot this week, we were wondering just where Trapper Joe had gone off to.

Every year, know-it-all grownups like to give their advice to high school graduates. Which is funny, because we all know the one group of people LEAST likely to take your advice is high school kids. But we do it anyway, mostly because it makes us feel like we’re wise, when we really ain’t that much more smarter-er than the kids. (I’s got a public edu-ma-cation.)

When one of our salespersons went to get in her vehicle this morning, she found a little reptile friend just hanging out, waiting for her. It was a three-foot alligator. She was not impressed.
Several Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were awarded Deputy of the Year honors at their Annual Law Enforcement Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 1, 2013. We would like to also say thanks to these deputies.

The City of Lake Charles announced the 15th annual Downtown at Sundown concert series schedule a couple weeks ago and now the series begins this Friday, May 17th with 'City Heat' and it will run for four consecutive Fridays from 5:30-9 p.m.
