USC Football Star Chris Brown Dead at 24
So far, no cause of death has been given, but shockingly enough, former USC offensive lineman, Chris Brown, has died. He was only 24. Brown started for the Trojans in 2017 and 2018, receiving an All-Pac-12 honorable mention by his junior year. He was never drafted, but ultimately scored an NFL career after signing with the San Diego Chargers. In 2020, Brown played all five seasons with the XFL's DC Defenders, as well.
His sudden death came as a shock to all who knew him, and his loss is being felt by all the players who shared the field with him. Monday, April 19, the USC Athletic Department confirmed the sad news of his passing and paid tribute the gifted player via the official Trojans Twitter page.
USC head coach, Clay Helton, tweeted his heartfelt condolences to Brown's family.
The cause of Chris Brown's death is unknown at this time. His untimely death sadly comes less than a year after former USC center, Max Tuerk, passed away due to an enlarged heart. He was only 26.
