The 2021 NFL draft is coming up next week, and that is the official start of the 2021 NFL football season. This is when NFL football fans start really paying attention to their teams, the moves they make in the draft, and more importantly, what their team is starting to shape up to be for the upcoming season.

For New Orleans Saints fans, the question is who will be the next quarterback for the franchise after future Hall of Famer Drew Brees announced his retirement after the 2020 season?

The two front-runners seem to be Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston. Winston and the Saints just agreed to a new deal worth $12 million dollars on March 15 for one year.

Tysom Hill has been with the Saints since 2017 and Hill plays pretty much any position of the football field. He has played running back, quarterback, receiver, and has played on the special teams covering kickoffs and punts. He is one tough dude. Last season, while Drew was out with injuries, Hill took over the quarterback job and led the Saints to a 3-1 record while Drew was out.

The question now is who will be the new Saints quarterback in 2021? Winston and Hill are expected to compete for the job. Does Hill have the upper hand?

While Drew was out, the team turned to Hill to start four games instead of Winston. Does this mean head coach Sean Payton believes more in Hill than Winston? Did they just sign Winston to a one-year deal as a safety net in case something happens to Hill?

All these questions will be answered during training camp and the preseason. We will have to see who runs out of the tunnel on the first game of the year as the starting quarterback of the Saints. Our vote is for Taysom Hill.
