‘Swamp People’ R.J. And Jay Paul Plead Not Guilty
As we reported back in September, 'Swamp People' reality show stars R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere were arrested for aggravated battery after allegedly hitting a man with a beer bottle in August.
Both of the stars of the show appeared in court on Friday, October 18th and plead not guilty to the charges.
The Houma Courier reports that Roland "R.J." Molinere Jr. and his son, Roland "Jay Paul" Molinere III pleaded not guilty Friday in a Terrebonne Parish court.
The two men said they had no comment on their plea.
Both are are accused of ganging up on a 24-year-old man Aug. 8 at a convenience store, hitting him repeatedly with the beverage. Larpenter says the victim suffered a black eye, a swollen jaw and a welt on his forehead.
Both R.J and Jay Paul are free on a $1,000 bond. Their trial date is set for January 13th, 2014.
If convicted, each of the 'Swamp People' stars could face up to 10 years in prison and $5,000 in fines.
