Suspended Saints Head Coach Sean Payton Files For Divorce
No job for a year and now the head coach of the New Orleans Saints Sean Payton has filed for divorce from his wife of 20 years.
Professionally, Sean Payton was suspended by the NFL for a year for his alleged roll in the Bounty scandal and now it looks like his personal life is taking a hit too.
ESPN is reporting:
Saints coach Sean Payton has filed for divorce from his wife of nearly 20 years, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported Monday.
The newspaper, citing Tarrant County, Texas, records, said on its NOLA.com website that the filing took place on June 14, a little less than a month before the couple's 20th anniversary.
It cites "discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship" as grounds for the divorce.
The divorce filing also indicated Payton, who is subject to a year-long suspension by the NFL for his role in the Saints' bounty system, has already moved out of his Texas home in suburban Dallas, where he lived with his wife, Beth, and two children.
