LSU Baseball Ranked No. 1 In Four National Polls Entering NCAA Regional
The LSU Tigers who finished the regular season with an impressive 52-9 record, won the SEC Western Division and then won the SEC title outright by beating the then #1 team in the country Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament are now getting there accolades.
The Tigers are now currently ranked No.1 in four of the five major polls.
The Tigers are ranked #1 by Collegiate Baseball, USA Today Coaches Poll, the Perfect Game Poll and by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. LSU is ranked No. 2 in this week’s Baseball America rankings.
The Tigers (52-9) are the No. 4 National Seed in the NCAA Tournament, and LSU opens play in the Baton Rouge Regional at 2 p.m. Friday versus Jackson State in Alex Box Stadium.
