Larry the Cable Guy Coming to Lake Charles in September
Daniel Lawrence Whitney, better known as Larry the Cable Guy, will be making a stop in the Southwest Louisiana area in September for a hilarious night of comedy.
Larry rose to fame as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White from 2000-2006. They toured all over the country and had several comedy specials featuring all four comedians.
Larry also made it onto the big screen and starred in movies like Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, Delta Farce, and Witless Protection, as well as voicing Mater in the Cars franchise.
Of course, we all know Larry's catchphrase is "Git-R-Done!" and he also even became an author and wrote a book with the same title as his catchphrase. He hit the comedy scene back in 1991 but exploded in 2000 when he had the opportunity to join the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
He also has a charity he is involved with called the Git-R-Done Foundation, and he just recently had a celebrity golf tournament. Since the charity's inception, they have raised and donated over $7 million dollars to various charities.
Now the funny man is coming to Lake Charles and will perform at L'Auberge Casino Resort on Friday, September 3. Tickets are on sale now. The doors will open at 7:00pm and the show will start at 8:00pm.
