Christmas is just two days away and with the New Year holiday next, there will of course be changes in the schedule of when your garbage and trash will be picked up the next two weeks.

Here is the latest schedule we have for the Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana area.

The City of Lake Charles will observe the Christmas Holiday on Thursday, December 25, 2014 and the New Year’s Holiday on Thursday, January 1, 2015. Changes in trash and garbage pickup are as follows:

 

Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Thursday, December 25, 2014 will be rescheduled for pickup on Friday, December 26, 2014.

 

Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Friday, December 26, 2014 will be rescheduled for Saturday, December 27, 2014.

 

Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Thursday, January 1, 2015 will be rescheduled for Friday, January 2, 2015.

 

Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Friday, January 2, 2015 will be rescheduled for pickup on Saturday, January 3, 2015.


In observance of the Christmas Holiday on Thursday, December 25th, Calcasieu Parish trash collection service will be altered.

Both Waste Management and Progressive Waste Solutions customers whose trash and garbage pickup is normally scheduled on Thursday will be collected Friday, December 26th. Customers whose trash and garbage pickup is normally scheduled on Friday will be collected on Saturday, December 27th. The regular schedule will resume Monday, December 29th.

East and West Public Maintenance Facilities will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, December 24th and 25th.

Sewer District 11 in Ward 3 and Waterworks District 5 in Wards 3 and 8 will be closed Wednesday through Friday, December 24th through December 26th. If you have an emergency during this time, call 337-439-5286.

All other Police Jury Offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, December 25th and December 26th.
