Everyone is gearing up for a long Fourth of July holiday weekend where many folks will be cooking it up and celebrating. The City of Lake Charles will observe the holiday but what does that do for your trash and garbage pick up this week?

Here is the schedule from the City of Lake Charles.

 

The City of Lake Charles will observe the Independence Day Holiday on Thursday, July 4 and there will be no trash and garbage pickup on that day.

 

Trash and garbage normally picked up on Thursday, July 4 will be picked up on Friday, July 5.  Trash and garbage normally picked up on Friday, July 5 will be picked up on Saturday, July 6.

 

All recycling stations, including the Team Green recycling truck and the incinerator will not be open on Thursday, July 4.  They will resume regular operations on Friday, July 5.

 

All other services of the Department of Public Works and other City departments will also be closed on Thursday, July 4 in observance of this Holiday, but will resume regular working hours on Friday, July 5.
