Louisiana State Police & Sheriff’s Office To Conduct DWI Checkpoint This Saturday May 12th

The Louisiana State Police and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office will be conducting a DWI checkpoint somewhere in the parish this Saturday. It is an ongoing effort to keep the highways and roadways safe.

Here is the information passed down to us from the Louisiana State Police.

In an effort to combat impaired driving in our area, Louisiana State Police Troop D and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office plan to conduct a DWI checkpoint Saturday, May 12, 2012, from approximately 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location in Calcasieu Parish.  Our mission will be to find and remove impaired drivers from the road before they can cause injury or death to themselves or others.

So be careful and designate a driver.
