Cooking With Cajun Radio: Fig Cookies
How about a tasty treat? Well once you finish picking your figs or taking out ones that you have already canned, make some Fig Cookies in today's Cooking with Cajun Radio!!
Ingredients
1 stick softened butter 8 tblsp 2 cups sugar
1 cup fig preserves 3 eggs
1 tsp baking powder 3 cups flour
nutmeg and cinnamon to taste
Directions
Cream the sugar, eggs, and butter. Combine with the fig preserves. Combine the flour and baking powder and the optional cinnamon and nutmeg. Gradually add to the flour mixture to the creamed ingredients. Spoon drop cookies on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until cookie is slightly brown (approximately 20 minutes).
