While they stopped short of saying so, Lafayette Police made it clear that it is believed that Mickey Shunick is dead, and the man suspected of killing her -- Brandon Scott Lavergne -- was "looking for someone to victimize" when he picked her up. When asked directly if there were any clues as to Shunick's final resting place, Lafayette's police chief replied: "No."

The Louisiana State Police were called out to a two vehicle accident yesterday on the Calcasieu River Bridge heading into Moss Bluff where one person was killed and three others were injured. LSP reports that one of the people involved in the crash, a thirteen year old girl had serious injuries.

In an effort to help with the flow of traffic on I-10 especially around the I-10 bridge, 18 wheelers were suppose to take the I-210 route per law enforcement. Well, standing outside of the radio station today I saw some 18 wheelers that did not listen to the warning and were rewarded with a ticket from the Louisiana State Police.
