In an attempt to help make drivers and passengers safe in Southwest Louisiana, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office will be conducting a DWI checkpoint this weekend at an undisclosed location. The Sheriff's office released this explaining what they are doing this weekend.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office will be conducting a DWI/Seat Belt checkpoint somewhere in the parish this weekend. Here is press release from the Sheriff's office:

We told you about it earlier in the week. Now the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has released the stats on the seatbelt check point that was conducted yesterday and here are the results:

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is having a seat belt checkpoint somewhere in the parish.  The reason they do this is to save lives.  So make sure that you wear your seat belt not just Thursday but everyday.
