Wayne Toups To Headline Free Cowboy Block Party Oct. 28 In Lake Charles
The legend himself Wayne Toups is making his long-awaited return back to Lake Charles next Friday night! That's right Le Boss Wayne Toups will be playing live for the Cowboy block party on the campus of McNeese State University. Oh, and did we mention that it's Homecoming that weekend?
Wayne played the Cowboy Block Party last year and the grove was packed to capacity with McNeese Cowboy fans ready to see the man himself take the stage. He put on an unforgettable performance that night so when we talked with Wayne about coming back again this year, he immediately said yes and couldn't wait to come back to see his fans in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana.
Grammy award winner and Louisiana Music Hall of Famer Wayne Toups and his band Zydecajun will be rockin' the grove all night with all his big hits. Get ready for Please Explain, True Love Don't Leave Me Blue, Fish Out Of Water, Free Me, Little Wooden Box, Johnny Can't Dance, Two-step Mamou and of course, Take My Hand.
The concert with Wayne is absolutely free and open to all ages. You are encouraged to bring your lawn chairs, and ice chests with your favorite cold drinks, beer, or booze but please no glass containers. The gates open at 6:00 pm and the music starts at 7:15 pm.
None of this would be possible without the awesome folks at Legacy Jewelers, Lake Charles Toyota, Chick-Fil-A of Lake Charles, and the McNeese Athletic Foundation who sponsor the Cowboy block party. We hope to see you out there!
