Voodoo Festival in New Orleans Canceled 2021 Event
One of the most popular music festivals in Louisiana announced via Twitter that it has canceled this year's event.
As many festivals and concerts are returning to the Bayou State, Voodoo Fest has decided to put their event on a pause for this year. The extremely popular festival brings crowds of hundreds of thousands of people to New Orleans every year.
Many fans of the festival are taking to social media to voice their displeasure of the event cancellation and are blaming New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell for her continued COVID-19 regulations in the city even after Governor Edwards has relaxed coronavirus mandates statewide.
Beau Tidwell, a spokesperson for Mayor LaToya Cantrell, said the festival received no pressure from the city to cancel the event.
The Voodoo Festival is produced by C3 Presents, a Live Nation company. If you bought tickets to this year's event, you will be receiving an email on how you can either roll your tickets over to next year or proceed with getting a refund.
