United Way Is Offering Assistance for Flooded Homeowners
The United Way of Southwest Louisiana announced their 211 resource phone line will begin taking property cleanup applications.
Residents in Calcasieu, Allen, Beauregard, Cameron, and Jeff Davis can call 211 to speak to a specialist. The United Way say they are coordinating with FEMA, volunteer groups, faith-based organizations, and the CDC to help assist homeowners in getting needed supplies and help in cleaning up the damages.
After you speak to a United Way specialist, a case worker will call to discuss the damages to your home and set up an examination by one of their member organizations.
