Live at the Lakefront was prepared to have a a concert series last year before the pandemic hit and caused it to be canceled, but the popular music festival is coming back after a year off.

It will take place on Fridays for three consecutive weeks (June 11, June 18, June 25) at the arcade pavilion at the Civic Center in downtown Lake Charles.

The event is put on by the Arts & Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana and will run from 6:00pm until 10:00pm each night. The festival will feature local bands, live art demonstrations, an outdoor art market, and food truck market.

It's exciting to see our events coming back to the area. We learned earlier this month that Downtown At Sundown will be back this year and will run for two weeks starting Friday, May 28 in downtown Lake Charles.

The local entertainment and bands along with the art market artists and food trucks will be announced in the coming weeks as the organizers are finalizing all the events and entertainment.

No matter what, we are going to have live events again and boy, do we need them to take our minds off of everything going on right now in Southwest Louisiana.
