Yesterday, we got the news that a tropical system was forming and was promptly identified as Tropical Depression 16.

As of the 7:00 A.M. update this morning, the depression has been upgraded and is now Tropical Storm Nate.

The National Weather Service said maximum sustained winds are at 40 mph, and the storm is moving Northwest at 8 mph.  The storm is currently located at 13.9 North and 83.4 West.

Nate's forecast track takes it over the Yucatan Peninsula by Saturday morning at 2:00 A.M. and into the Gulf of Mexico.  From there, the forecast track becomes a little more broad with the cone becoming wider.
