Samaritan’s Purse Is Back in Lake Charles to Aid Flood Recovery
Samaritan’s Purse is back in Lake Charles to help SWLA residents recover from the devastating area flooding.
Kristen Holben, Program Manager for Samaritan’s Purse, told KPLC it's an honor to be back to serve the people of Southwest Louisiana and said their organization is here to help SWLA residents physically clean up their properties and to show there is hope.
Local Volunteer Information:
Contact the Samaritan's Purse team at 337-930-1807 at least 24 hours in advance to be scheduled to serve. Volunteers need to arrive at their host location at Glad Tidings Church, 3501 Texas Street in Lake Charles at 7:30am or 12:30pm for orientation.
Tools will be provided, and volunteers are welcome to bring their own tool belts and small hand tools. Volunteers should dress in long pants and bring work gloves, safety glasses, and sturdy boots or rubber boots.
