“Movies Under the Stars” Returns In March In Lake Charles

Grab the family and the lawn chairs and get ready for a great night out with your kids.  The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury (CPPJ) has announced that the popular "Movies Under The Stars" is returning in March.

New this year is that as of March 1st, 2017 all public parks are now going to be “Tobacco and Vapor Free”.  According to the CPPJ, The ordinance makes all Parish parks and buildings smoke and tobacco free: including e-cigarettes and chewing tobacco.

Starting on Friday March 3rd, Movies Under The Stars returns with the showing of the popular Disney movie classic “101 Dalmatians".

According to Julie Fay of the CPPJ said starting at 4:30 p.m.:

You’re invited to bring your family and friends for a night as fun as a roomful of puppies; 99 puppies to be exact! You’re also invited to pet and take photos with Calcasieu’s sweetest puppies from our Animal Services and Adoption Center.

Then the movie begins at 6:30pm in Prien Lake Park, located at 3700 West Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles.
