McNeese Cowboys Jump Up Three Spots In Both FCS Top 25 Polls
The McNeese State Cowboys football team beat Northwestern State 43-17 last Saturday night in Cowboys Stadium to improve to 9-2 on the season and 5-1 in Southland Conference play.
With the win, the Cowboys jumped three spots in both the Sports Network and FCS Coaches' Top 25 polls this week.
The pokes moved up from ninth to sixth in the Sports Network and jumped from 11th to No. 8 in the coaches' poll.
It's the highest ranking for the Cowboys (9-2, 5-1 SLC) this season since being ranked No. 4 and 7 in the two polls during the week of Oct. 28.
McNeese will close out the regular season on Saturday at Lamar in Beaumont.
