McNeese Cowboys Football

With an impressive road win this past Saturday, the pokes impressed the voters and jumped up in the FCS polls.

Yesterday the STATS preseason top 25 poll was released and the McNeese Football team found themselves ranked #11 in the poll.

Even though the McNeese Cowboys football team was off last week, they still stayed strong in the national polls. The new polls were released today and the Cowboys are still ranked the number two team in the nation. The Cowboys held steady at No. 3 in the STATS poll too this week.

Tonight, I had the chance to go to the McNeese Homecoming game tonight. I stood on the sidelines and got to see first hand how good the Cowboys football team really are and let me tell you, they impressed me.

Yesterday, the preseason FCS coaches poll was released and the Cowboys found themselves ranked 23rd in the poll.

UPDATE: Spring Game has been moved to 2 p.m. today due to the weather. The McNeese Cowboys football team have been hard at work at practice and has even had two public scrimmages. Now the team is ready to participate in their annual Spring football game today at Cowboy's stadium here in Lake Charles.

Football is in the air! LSU is having their Spring game today and the NFL draft is just a couple weeks away and now the McNeese Cowboys football team will have their second scrimmage of the Spring today.

McNeese State Athletic department has announced the 2014 football schedule for the Cowboys which will feature six home games and will travel to take on a huge college football program when the face the Nebraska Corn Huskers.

Do you have a fever and the only prescription is Cowbell?  Well you better head to a pharmacy for that fever because you wont get Cowbell this Saturday at Cowboys Stadium for the McNeese playoff game. The NCAA has put out a new set of rules for playoff games and one is that no artificial noise-makers, including cowbells, will not be allowed inside the stadium Saturday.

The McNeese State Cowboys football team beat Northwestern State 43-17 last Saturday night in Cowboys Stadium to improve to 9-2 on the season and 5-1 in Southland Conference play. With the win, the Cowboys jumped three spots in both the Sports Network and FCS Coaches' Top 25 polls this week.

The McNeese Cowboys football team will be in action tonight at Cowboys stadium against Northwestern. Before the game, Richard LeBouef will be performing live at the Cowboy Corral today starting at 4:30 p.m. and it is a free concert.

McNeese State Cowboys football team won 69-38 over Southland Conference foe Stephen F. Austin last Saturday night. The Cowboys are now 8-2 on the year and 4-1 in the Southland Conference.
