Major Convenience Store Chain To Sell Cannabis In Florida
In the near future Circle K customers will be able to purchase more than gas, soda, and chips. The international convenience store chain just inked a deal with Green Thumb Industries to sell its cannabis products exclusively. The marijuana company sells Rise Dispensaries products nationally and is set to roll out new locations inside select Circle K gas stations in Florida.
Circle K has roughly 600 locations in the Sunshine State, but the initial rollout of its Green Thumb deal will only include some of its stores at first. The Rise Dispensaries marijuana products will only be sold at 10 locations starting in 2023. If all goes well, there is obviously plenty of room to expand to other Circle K gas stations throughout the state.
Ben Kovler, Green Thumb chairman and CEO is convinced this is going to be a game changer for business and customers saying in a recent statement. “Convenience is a strong channel in retail, and people want more access to cannabis.” Only time will tell. The launch goes down sometime in 2023 and Rise products to be sold at select Florida Circle K locations will include vapes, pre-rolls, flowers, and of course gummies.
