Lake Charles Family Turns Yard Into A Spooktacular Movie Theater
Move over Movies Under The Stars, a Lake Charles family is offering a Spooktacular triple-feature in their front yard just in time for Halloween! That's one way to earn cool points if you're the kid living at that house. You gotta love it when folks in the community go big on the holiday décor and invite the community to share in their joy of the holidays. Harvest Fest is in the air and many residents are on board to welcome the fall season and spruce up the yards with spider webs, scarecrows, witches, and pumpkins in time for Halloween.
Well, one family has us all beat when it comes to attention-grabbing Halloween decorations. KPLC reports the Privet family on Carondelet Street have created a one-of-a-kind outdoor Halloween interactive display kids of all ages can appreciate.
These folks have some serious Halloween spirit that's for sure! If you happen to be in their neck of the woods, stop by to enjoy their decorations. While you're at it, watch one of three movies they are showing in the front yard under the stars on Carondelet Street. The Privet's Spooktacular theater is now showing “Hocus Pocus,” "The Muppets Haunted Mansion", and “Halloween Town.”
According to the news, each year their decorations have been bigger than the last. The Privet family isn't new to this. They have been true to this decorating thing since 2018 and it all began with Christmas. Tyler Privet told the news he had the family's Halloween decorations up since October 1. Why? He said, “It’s just fun. I do it for the kids and I do it for myself because I am a kid.”
