Everyone in South Louisiana has been banding together and having benefit concerts to help out all the flood victims from the Lafayette are to pints eastward in the state.

Last Sunday, August 28th, Sean Ardoin and a slew of volunteers held one here at the Lake Charles Civic Center.  Yesterday in Opelousas Louisiana, Wayne Toups, Dustin Sonnier, Kix Brooks and Hunter Hayes all headlined the Acadian Strong concert.

Both concerts raised a bunch of money for flood victims.  Now Harry Connick Jr. and Randy Jackson will co-host a benefit concert tonight from the Baton Rouge’s River Center Theater.

Some of the acts scheduled to perform are:

Better Than Ezra, Aaron Neville, Hunter Hayes, Rebirth Brass Band, Luther Kent, Chris LeBlanc, Herman Jackson Jazz Quartet, Quiana Lynell, David Torkanowsky, Magnolia Sisters, Chris Thomas King, La Leroux, Ruth Marie, MacKenzie Bourg, Sonny Landreth, Dwayne Dopsie and Zachary Richard.

The show will are tonight at 7:00 p.m. and go until 9:00 p.m. on KPLC TV channel 7 here in Lake Charles.
