Local School and City Service Closures Today Due To Snow

It's snowing Southwest Louisiana!  I mean it is really snowing. We got about four inches of snow here at the radio station.

With the sudden amount of snow dropping in the area, several schools and city offices are closing today to the weather.

School Closures

All Calcasieu Parish schools including the Charter academy's

Beauregard Parish

Allen Parish

Cameron Parish

Evangeline Parish

Jeff Davis Parish

City Offices

The City Of Lake Charles offices are closed today

Trash pickup for Lake Charles scheduled for today (Friday Dec. 8th) is suspended and will be picked up tomorrow.

Lake Charles City Transit suspended

All public safety employees and public works crews will be continuously monitoring street conditions.
