The Lake Charles Symphony is getting set to kick off their 65th season this weekend in Lake Charles and they are getting it started in a big way!

The Lake Charles Symphony has a new executive director in Beth Dawdy and she has wasted no time in getting the concerts and fundraisers started for this season, As we reported early this month, the Gators On The Geaux are back!

You know, those big Gators that folks all over Southwest Louisiana have displayed out in front of their businesses are back. After a 20-year absence, they are coming back with a new look, and you can get yours here and see what they look like.

The first live concert will take place this Sunday, October 2nd at the Tritico Theater on McNeese Campus in Lake Charles. Dawdy said,

The Beethoven symphony No. 5 is one of the true symphonic masterpieces. Join us for a fantastic afternoon of music with Your Lake Charles Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Chelsea’s Tipton.

 

This Concert features many recognizable favorites. From Mozart to Hummel, it  will a variety of recognizable symphony favorites. A perfect concert to attend for Symphony Newcomers or Lifelong members.

The Lake Charles Symphony season opens this Sunday, October 2nd, and runs through April 16th. Some of the featured events during the season include a Christmas Concert on December 10th.
