After what seems like an eternity, one of SWLA's favorite confectioners has officially re-opened its doors with a change. The location of those doors has changed, but the product seems to be just as good as we remembered it.

Jo's Party House, like most of our favorite places, took a hard hit during Laura and Delta back In 2020. The building was all but destroyed, and fans of the cupcake maker were left in dismay wondering if it would ever come back to give us diabetes ever again. Late last year, their Facebook page just about broke local social media when they went from no-contact to just posting a simple picture. From then, they started teasing us randomly by posting pictures and music videos. The new store now resides in Moss Bluff at 909 Sam Houston Jones Parkway across from Sam Houston High School.

Now, it seems those dreams of taking a syringe "shot" of icing and smelling the box in your lap while driving home have all returned! Today marked their official opening day to the public, but special insiders were showing off their cupcakes all weekend long. The line today to get a cupcake was wrapped out the door and into the parking lot. A bit after 1:00 pm, Jo's made the announcement on Facebook that they had officially sold out by 10:00 am this morning! That's almost flashbacks of when Nelson's Donuts made their great return.

With them selling out so fast, they assure their fans that starting tomorrow they will be limiting the number of cupcakes each guest can purchase to only 1 dozen per person. That basically means you're about to teach your 10-year-old how to "fib" and buy that second dozen and pretend they don't know you until you get back in the car! Jo's is officially open again and will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
