Last Friday here at the Cajun Radio studios, Horace Trahan performed live for our Cajun Radio Backstage Pass for listeners and fans of his music and received his "Artist of the Year" award.

Horace was voted by you the listeners of Cajun Radio as the 2012 Cajun Radio Artist of the Year with almost 12,000 of the 27,000 votes cast. 

Friday, Horace along with his father-in -law Rodney Bernard and Horace's wife Chantell came to the studio.  Horace and Rodney sat down and played songs for the listeners and answered all there questions from "What made Horace start playing the accordion to why does he write all his songs".

Horace played some of his biggest hits for the fans like "It's All Right, Bring it on home to me and The Butt Thing." I then presented Horace with a plaque (pictured above) as the 2012 Cajun Radio Artist of the Year.
