You know that folks here in Southwest Louisiana are always ready to lend a helping hand and also help out a friend in need.  That is exactly what is happening this Saturday, June 28th in Iowa as friends and family are holding a benefit for Mr. Mike Dartez.

The benefit will be held at the KC Hall on Highway 90 in Iowa, Louisiana from Noon until featuring Live music and plenty of food.

The music lineup Includes:
Noon to 1:30 pm. -- Chris Miller and Bayou Roots
1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. --- Geno Delafose and French Rockin' Boogie
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. -- Horace Trahan
5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. --- DJ
6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. -- Live Auction
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. -- Steel Shot

Mike Dartez, who is a 20 year veteran of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, has been diagnosed with end stage renal disease (Kidney Failure) and is on dialysis 7 days a week and awaiting a transplant.

Friends and family are coming together this Saturday to raise money for medical expenses for Mike.
