If you or someone you know hasn't signed up to receive Hurricane Laura disaster assistance from FEMA, time to do so is running out. Homeowners or renters seeking help due to property damage and expenses have until October 27 to file a claim. FEMA is currently offering assistance to Hurricane Laura victims that include:

  • Temporary housing
  • Rental assistance
  • Repair or replacement of damaged property

If your residence is in the Hurricane Laura designated disaster area, you are eligible to file a claim with FEMA.  Additional assistance is also available through grants to help with other expenses such as child care, replacing household items, moving and storage costs, burial expenses, and more. Don't delay, the deadline is less than a week away.
