CPSO Identifies Body Found in Starks
Lake Charles, La. - The body of a man found in a wooded area in Starks on yesterday has been identified.
On Wednesday, August 2, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office (CPSO) was called out at approximately 1:30 p.m. to Bud Bennett Rd and Creek Rd., where the body was reportedly discovered by a parish worker.
According to a CPSO media release, "After further investigation, the body has been identified as Dustin R. Hammons, 22, of Houston, TX. The investigation has revealed Hammons received trauma to his body so his death is being ruled a homicide. The cause and manner of death are pending the coroner’s investigation."
