Now this is a great cause.  Westlake Police Department is currently collecting items to send to the Tsunami Victims in Japan.  Click more if you would like to help!!!

The Westlake Police Department is extending their Blanket Donation Drive (in partnership with the USS George Washington) for the Tsunami victims in Japan. Westlake High School 2009 graduate OS3 Petty Officer Brandi Roessler is currently serving in the U.S. Navy stationed aboard the USS George Washington CVN73.

The blankets will be shipped to the Earthquake Relief Supplies in Japan via USS George Washington CVN73 to help with the Japan disaster aid relief effort. Any blankets, new or used, will be accepted along with large shipping boxes. Reception of donations have been extended until Friday, March 25, 2011 due to the overwhelming turnout. Drop off is at the Westlake Police Department located at 701 Johnson Street in Westlake.

The Westlake Police Department and the USS George Washington CVN73 extend their gratitude to all who have donated or will be donating to this worthy cause.
