The following is a statement from the Louisiana State Police: This afternoon, investigators with the Lake Charles field office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, the Lake Charles City Police, and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations conducted a search warrant at the residence of 35-year-old Benjamin Wild of Lake Charles. The warrant was the result of an Operation Child Watch

Details are still sketchy at this hour, but there have been reports that a woman opened fire at noon today at the Ross Dress for Less at the Prien Lake Plaza Shopping Center in Lake Charles. The suspect has been arrested and one victim has been transported to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for treatment, according to police, but no names or details on injuries have been released yet...
