The NFL has contacted New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma and has offered to reduce his suspension from one year to just eight games. There is only one condition, Vilma would have to drop his civil lawsuit against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Roger Goodell and the NFL have handed down their decision.  They have rejected the appeals of four current and former New Orleans Saints players suspended in connection with the league's bounty investigation of the Saints. This is where it is going to get real.  The players said they intend to fight Goodell and the NFL's ruling in Federal Court.

The 2012 NFL Draft came to an end over the weekend and by the time it was over, several LSU Tiger football players found themselves heading to the NFL. Who did LSU lose and where did they go?

The 2012 version of the NFL draft begins tonight.  This is where all 32 NFL franchises get a chance to draft top college players to their teams. Andrew Luck is expected to be the first pick in the NFL draft going to the Indianapolis Colts especially after Peyton Manning is now with the Denver Broncos, while Heisman trophy winner Robert Griffin the 3rd or RG3 is expected to go to the Washington Red
