While they stopped short of saying so, Lafayette Police made it clear that it is believed that Mickey Shunick is dead, and the man suspected of killing her -- Brandon Scott Lavergne -- was "looking for someone to victimize" when he picked her up. When asked directly if there were any clues as to Shunick's final resting place, Lafayette's police chief replied: "No."

UPDATE:  The reward was upped to $25,000 Wednesday afternoon.  Also, the tips line to Lafayette Police has changed. She turned 22 yesterday, but she wasn’t able to share it with her friends.  She missed her brother’s graduation.  Michaela “Mickey” Shunick of Lafayette has been missing since Saturday night, and the search for her is growing wider and wider.
