This one is just weird.We received word from Louisiana State Police Troop D asking motorist to avoid LA 108 near LA 1133 due to a plane crash in the roadway.
We have so many distractions today. We also drive cars that handle much better and all you have to do is barely move the steering wheel to change the vehicle's direction. Three are dead after their helicopter went down in a remote area Tom Hebert Rd. and Helms Rd. north of Grand Lake, according to KPLC. Currently, no official word on why the helicopter went down, though some media sources are reporting that a fire may have broken out on the craft.
UPDATE 2:30 p.m.: Officials have since confirmed that 100 vehicles were involved in the crash, which was likely caused by mid-morning fog. Two are dead and dozens are injured, according to KFDM-TV. I-10 westbound is now open, but eastbound will continue to be closed for a while.
The Louisiana State Police were called out to a two vehicle accident yesterday on the Calcasieu River Bridge heading into Moss Bluff where one person was killed and three others were injured. LSP reports that one of the people involved in the crash, a thirteen year old girl had serious injuries.
