ORIGINAL POST:  State Police and the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in locating 15-year-old Dakota Schexnider.

  • White female
  • 5'5"
  • 110 lbs.
  • Wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants
  • Last seen at Singer High School

State Police say she could be in Southwest Louisiana or Southeast Texas. That's scary enough, but we ran across the above Facebook post this morning, in which her aunt says Dakota texted family members to tell them she was "in a trunk and scared." They haven't heard from her since.

If you know anything about her disappearance or you see anyone matching her description, call the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-463-3281 or Sgt. Stacey Pearson of the Louisiana Clearinghouse for Missing & Exploited Children at 225 -925-4192.
