Former Child Cajun Music Star Hunter Hayes Opening For Taylor Swift

Remember Hunter Hayes who captured everyone's heart back in the day when he came out with his hit" I'm just six years old" and was playing the Accordian like it was nobody's business?  Well now he is all grown up and now in Nashville as a Country Music Artist and is going to open up for Country Music Superstar Taylor Swift this year!!!

Nashville, TN – March 3, 2011 – Taylor Swift celebrated her 7th #1 record this week when “Back To December” jumped from #5 to #1 on the Mediabase / Country Aircheck chart, marking her second consecutive #1 single from her Multi-Platinum Speak Now CD, released in October on Big Machine Records. Swift’s first #1 was 2007’s “Our Song,” which topped the charts for 6 consecutive weeks.

Also this week, Taylor’s self-titled debut CD, released in 2006, was certified 5X-Platinum by the RIAA for sales of more than 5 Million copies. Her Fearless album is currently 6X-Platinum, and Speak Now is Triple-Platinum.

Taylor just wrapped the sold-out Asian leg of her TAYLOR SWIFT SPEAK NOW WORLD TOUR 2011, and the European tour kicks off this week with a March 6 show in Brussels, Belgium. This year, she will play 90 shows in 19 countries spanning four continents, and she announced today that Frankie Ballard, Danny Gokey, HUNTER HAYES, Josh Kelley, Randy Montana, James Wesley and Charlie Worsham will each open selected shows of the North American leg of the tour, which starts May 27th in Omaha.

I remember when i first played Hunter Hayes on the radio.  It was when i did a show on Cajun Country 92.9 FM in Jennings in the late 90's & early 2000's.  "Six Years Old" was a mega hit and was requested by a lot of folks.
