Wife Arrested In Lake Charles Homicide

Yesterday it was reported that a homicide had occurred in South Lake Charles at 5763 California Trail.  It was reported that the victim was a 62 year old male.

Now the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has confirmed that an arrest has been made in the crime and the subject turns out to be the victims wife!Here is the latest from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office.

On December 21, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 5763 California Trail in Lake Charles, after receiving a 911 call from Darlene I. Sias, 52, who stated she found her husband unresponsive in their home.

When deputies arrived they discovered Joseph Sias, 62, in his bedroom fatally wounded.

After further investigation, Darlene Sias was arrested in connection with the murder of Joseph Sias. The murder appears to be the result of a domestic dispute.  The investigation is ongoing.

Sias was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2^nd degree murder.
