With the rising waters and the rain falling in the area everyday now, it seems like there is no relief in site.  The hit and miss showers is causing waters to rise or stay on the roadways in areas where flooding is still present.

The Louisiana State Police has released an updated list of road closures in the South Louisiana area.

Troop D (Southwest Louisiana) Road Closures as of 7:30 p.m. August 16th, 2016

Jefferson Davis Parish:

Interstate 10 Eastbound at US 165 (44 miles from the Texas state line) is closed. Traffic is being routed north onto US 165 then east onto US 190 in Kinder then south onto I-49 to I-10 in Lafayette.

Interstate 10 Eastbound at LA 26 is closed (Milepost 64 in Jennings)

US 90 is closed at milepost 66.5 (junction LA 3055) in Jennings to the Mermentau River Bridge until further notice due to flooding

LA 26 at LA 102 (Dugas Road is, closed due to high water over the roadway

LA 101 Milepost 2 south of Lacassine is closed due to flooding

LA 3166 (Castex Landing Road) is closed due to flooding

LA 382 0.4 miles south of Wild Road (Milepost 2.8) to 0.1 miles south of Martin Road (Milepost 5.1) between Welsh and Lake Arthur is closed to traffic.
