The United Way of Southwest Louisiana and Entergy Louisiana have formed a partnership to help residents in Southwest Louisiana pay their electric bills. Entergy Louisiana prices have skyrocketed over the last few months and customers all over the state are struggling to cover the cost. However, it appears that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.

According to KPLC United Way and Entergy have found a way to team up to help customers in dire need. by providing Utility Bill Assistance. Starting today (Wednesday, August 17, 2022) customers in Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jeff Davis Parishes can APPLY ONLINE to see if they qualify. Residents can apply for assistance or a one-time $150 credit for their Entergy electric bill. The funding will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis to households that qualify based on income.
