Mother Nature looks like she is cooking up another beautiful weekend in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana. That means people will be wanting to get out of the house and go do something fun.

K-Bon's located on the corner of Highway 397 and East McNeese Street in East Lake Charles will have Brad Brinkley Friday night from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Then they will have Steelshot on Saturday night from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

There are two Farmers' Markets going on Saturday morning.  One in Lake Charles and one in Moss Bluff, both from 8:00 am to Noon. The Lake Charles market is located at 1911 Bilbo Street at the Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center. The Moss Bluff Market is located at 325 Sam Houston Jones Pkwy.

Beauxdines' located at 3013 Ryan Street in Lake Charles will have hotr boiled crawfish and live music from Blake Pickle on Friday ngiht and Adam Leger on Saturday night.  Both artists will perfrom from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The Golden Nugget in Lake Charles will have 3 Doors Down on Saturday night inside the Grand Event Center. The band will start at 8:00 pm.

Mary's Lounge located on East Broad Street in Lake Charles will have Alfred Doucet band for their Sunday Funday.  The band starts at 5:00 pm.

There will be a DWI and Seat Belt checkpoint Friday Night in Calcasieu Parish. The checkpoint will take place somewhere in Calcasieu Parish this Friday night, April 8th, 2022 from 6:00 pm to Midnight at an undisclosed location.

This Saturday, April 9th Coushatta Casino Resort will have their Coushatta Casino Resort's Bugs, Brews, and Bands which features some great live Cajun and Zydeco music from three great artists well known to South Louisiana. Kevin Naquin, Leroy Thomas and Lil' Nathan all are performing live starting at 1:00 pm.

Louisiana Railroad Days Festival will be held this weekend In DeQuincy, Louisiana. The festival is set for April 7th through April 9th. On Saturday, April 9th the lineup will be
