The Welsh Greyhounds One Win Away From State Championship

The high school football semi finals will be played tonight to determine who will make it to New Orleans to play for a State Championship.

Locally in Southwest Louisiana there are a couple teams close to making it to the championship game.  The Welsh Greyhounds are one of those teams.

Welsh won the state championship last year na d look to repeat.  They have a tough task tonight though as they will travel up North Louisiana to face #1 seeded Many.

In the regular season Many went 9-1.  Welsh who is the #5 seed was 7-3 in the regular season.

Other teams in the area in contention for a state championship playoff game berth are Leesville, Eunice, and Kaplan.
