High School Football Playoffs

The 2024 Louisiana high school football regular season is over, and it's time for the playoffs.

The high school football semi finals will be played tonight to determine who will make it to New Orleans to play for a State Championship.

  Barbe High School had a football season to remember in 2012 making it all the way to the state championship in New Orleans.  One of the main reasons for there success came off the foot of Senior place kicker Jamie McGee who holds 14 of the possible 15 Barbe High School kicking records. The Barbe Bucs will face Archbishop Rummel for the 5A State Championship this Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. in the Mercedes Benz Superdome. We have found out that the game will NOT BE Televised live but don't worry Barbe fans.  We have you covered!

It's finally here.  The big 5-A semi-final high school football playoff game between the #3 seeded West Monroe Rebels and #2 seeded Barbe Buccaneers is tonight here in Lake Charles. Can't go to the game? The game will be broadcast live right here on Cajun Radio and the game will also be televised over a video stream on the internet. UPDATE:  Barbe comes back to beat West Monroe in final seconds! 

Well it is week two of the high school football post season.  Some lake area teams made it through to the second round while some teams didn't fair so well. Here is the schedule of games for tonight:

So the regular season ended last Friday night and some teams didn't make the grade and a spot in the post season. However, several teams from the Southwest Louisiana did punch their ticket to the post season and will play tonight.  The ultimate goal is to make it to the Superdome and the state championship.  Here is tonight's schedule of games.
